November 2002 was National Novel Writing Month. Impulsively, I decided to participate for the first time this year, because... well, why not, really?

50,000 words of fiction in one month was not a realistic goal, it seems. Even if it was, I failed to meet it.

Don't worry. I'll keep working on this. I'm glad NaNoWriMo exists, if only to have served as a motivational tool to start writing.

^* Working title. Former working titles include Selfless Discontent and A Question of David (unbelievably, really close to a title already in use, but I might still use it anyway). Rest assured that the novel is not about anyone I know named Aaron (or David).
