Minnesota DNR Content Management System design 2002

Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) staff administer their web site [described on the previous page] using a custom-built content management system (CMS), allowing many users to edit site content without interfering with design or having to know a great deal of HTML.

As one of the two main users of the CMS, I had a great deal of input into its features. This incarnation of the CMS was the last project I worked on at the DNR. Its internal nature allowed me to be somewhat whimsical in designing it; I dubbed it "Walleye!" in part because the walleye is the most sought-after game fish in Minnesota.
