Here's a still life I particularly like from my student days.
One of my old roommates was always creeped out when I left the kitchen chair in front of the computer monitor we used as a television. I captured the scene on paper, therefore, in order to spite him and make him forever uncomfortable.
That's not at all true. (Sorry, Dave.) I actually intended the image to be symbolic of a certain emptiness left by the offerings of television in the late 20th century.
